The arched concrete frontage of the Hotel Manama isn't all that appealing, but the hotel itself is decent enough. Behind its dubious facade, Hotel Manama is tidy, simple and good value. Come here for mid-range facilities at discount rates and proximity to CST station.
Most guests are transit passengers with train reservations at CST station and the rapid turnover of guests has left rooms looking a little worn. However, the hotel scores points for cleanliness and price. Facilities in the rooms include hot showers and decent-sized TVs and the overall atmosphere is friendly and laid-back. You can get to the train station in a few minutes by taxi or you can walk it in not much longer, and there are some excellent Mangalorean seafood restaurants in the surrounding area. Rather than watching TV alone in your room, head over to the cinemas on Marzaban Rd to sample the latest Bollywood blockbusters.
